The Peace and Development Researchers Association (PADRA), in collaboration with the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies, University of Nairobi, Kenya and the APN and Next Gen program of the Social Sciences Research Council (SSRC) in New York organized a one-day early career/ mid career authors writing workshop targeting SSRC fellowship grantees in Kenya. The aim of the workshop is to take participants through the key steps in the research and publication process focusing on: how to publish in high impact journals and edited book volumes by leading publishers, framing of research questions, building scientifically sound arguments and ensuring originality, how to identify a suitable journal, the peer review process, handling rejection from peer reviewers and how to address and respond to reviewer feedback, how to translate research to policy briefs among others.
