Dr. Joyce Omwoha is a lecturer at the Department of Journalism and Media Studies at The Technical University of Kenya. She holds a PhD in Media Studies from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa. Joyce has won international grants and fellowships which have enabled her to carry out research on: Media, Citizenship and Identity, Peacebuilding, Gender Studies, Health Communication and the analysis of the Social Media Culture in Kenya and beyond.
