The Peace and Development Researchers Association, Kenya, (PADRA) in collaboration with the Social Science Research Council’s (SSRC’s) African Peacebuilding Network (APN) and Next Generation Social Sciences in Africa (Next Gen) program invites draft proposals from scholars and practitioners based in East Africa and the Horn of Africa for a two day virtual pre-application writing workshop (starting at 4pm EAT/ 9am EST – 8pm EAT/ 1pm EST each day) targeted at potential applicants to the 2025 APN and Next Gen fellowship awards.
The goal of the workshop is as follows:
Provide information on the fellowship opportunities provided by the SSRC’s APN and Next Gen program and the fellowship awards application process.
Expose participants to the techniques for writing convincing and winning fellowship proposals.
• Hold mentorship sessions to help participants refine and strengthen their draft proposals.

Applicants to the Pre-Application workshop should submit short research draft proposals of 2 pages maximum outlining their research project title, objectives, methods, significance and the Fellowship award they are applying for using the following link: https://padra-kenya.com/call-for-submissions/
The deadline for submission is 12th November 2024. Authors of accepted applications will be notified by 19th November, 2024.
